Carron Farm's self catering accommodation is located on St Martins, the third largest island in the Isles of Scilly - an archipelago of islands 28 miles south west of Lands End.

We offer accommodation in 3 separate properties; The Chalet, Top Cottage & Upidas. All three are in Signal Row, Highertown and have wonderful sea views, with the nearest beaches only a couple of minutes walk away.

 

Chalet

The Chalet is set in its own large private garden, is ideally situated & just a stones throw from Highertown Par & Old Quay beach.

Top Cottage

Top Cottage has spectacular views of the uninhabited Eastern Isles. It is located at the top end of a row of charming granite Scillonian cottages, just 2 minutes walk from some of St Martins’ finest beaches.

Upidas

Upidas is set in a row of charming signalman’s cottages dating from the Napoleonic war & enjoys dramatic views over Highertown Par looking out towards the uninhabited Eastern Isles.

Breathtaking Views

St Martins has breathtaking views on all sides, from the vast expanse of Great Bay to the secluded tranquility around the Old Quay. 

Uncrowded & unpolluted, the beaches on St Martins are amongst the finest in Europe & are unrivalled for a family holiday.

Facilities on St Martins are excellent & include SC Dogs rum distillery right here at Carron Farm, a general post office & store, bakery, pub, cafe, tea gardens, North Farm Gallery, Middletown Barn, FayPage Silver Gallery & St Martin’s Vineyard.

Whats on offer

Available activities include tennis, cricket, bowls, clay pigeon shoots. There is also a fully equipped gym & sports hall.

For the more adventurous there is sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling with the seals, diving, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking & wildlife safaris on a glass bottom boat.

There are lovely walks on St Martins from the gentle southerly side of the island to the rugged northern end where you will find the iconic red & white striped Daymark.

There are daily boat trips to other islands on the popular ‘tripper boats’.
